Last week I made one of the easiest wreaths yet and got my supplies on a budget at the Dollar Store. One of my favorite people to watch is Lori Allred who has a web show called Inspired by Pinterest. Love it!!! She did several wreaths but I was short on time. This wreath required about an hour of time and was so easy. I really like how it turned out and as with any craft I do for the first time, I find out quickly what not to do the next time.
You need:
Wire Hanger
50 -70 Christmas bulbs depending on the size. I bought mine at the Dollar Store (7 Packs to be on the safe side.
Wire Ribbon (also at the Dollar Store)
Hot Glue Gun
Undo your hanger and form it into a circle, you may need a little muscle on the thicker hangers.
What you will do is slide each of your bulbs right on to the hanger. Move the bulbs around so they start circling and filling up the hanger. You will find that some of the bulb tops will pop off, that's where the glue gun comes in, just put a little on to keep the tops from popping off. I probably had to do it on a couple dozen. Key here is not to use to much hot glue because you get stringy glue everywhere. Once your hanger is full, twist the top back up. The top of your hanger is ready to go. Create a bow that you like and place on your wreath, I did have to hot glue mine on. This was my very first attempt at making a bow. I definitely need to practice!
